Truth x Lies Unleashes Infectious Tech-House Single ‘Like This’

New York-based duo Truth x Lies returns to the release trenches with ‘Like This’, the latest original production to come from the rising talent. Their new sonic offering arrives on the heels of their July collaborative project “Kink” with Josh Tobias, as well as their June-released tech-house track “Mirror Mirror” with TELLER. Tonally attuned to two specific sonic counterparts, Truth x Lies showcases their unique production technique touching both ends of the spectrum, dark and stimulating tech-house with an aggressive, after-hours body to it, and a lighter, more modern tech-house that ebbs with clean control. ‘Like This’ is out now via Kevin McKay’s revered Glasgow Underground.

“Like This” kicks off with a pulsating bassline and a hard-hitting catchy rhythm, followed by a sultry vocal cut. Playing on a loop, the vocals take the focal point, building a rising tension that leads to an infectious beat drop that oozes with tech-house elements and uncontrollable groove. Balancing the act of old-school and “new-school”, Truth x Lies utilizes their signature sound manifesting in envelope-pushing basslines, synths, and beats. With four-on-the-floor sensibilities, the high octane production sends a transmittable fire through the ears, transporting the listener to an atmospheric soundscape. Overall, “Like This” serves as a stellar addition to Truth x Lies expanding discography and is sure to set dancefloors ablaze in no time at all this summer.

With “Like This,” Truth x Lies marks another milestone in their continuous stream of recent releases, and further solidifies their position as a force to be reckoned with in the rising class of burgeoning tech-house producers. Offering another premier example of their infectious sound design, listeners are treated to a taste of what the bubbling talent has planned next. The impending reign of Truth x Lies continues as they prepare to drop a handful of sonically diverse productions later this year.
