Turntables returns

Turntables, one of the most friendly and intimate pop ups, returns to it’s canalside home in Hackney Wick for it’s second installment this Spring/Summer. Taking up a three month residency on the Shapes Terrace, Turntables returns with an epic selection of street food, music and feel good vibes. 
 
FOOD
 
Eat your weight in the some of the best street food London has to offer from rising stars and established traders. Bill or Beak will be returning with their innovative takes on culinary classics including a duck egg brunch to cure the weekends hangovers. Expect gooey British grilled cheese sandwiches from The Cheese Truck, twists on Caribbean classics from the boys at White Men Can’t Jerk and infamous Popdogs Hotdogs. Turntables hosts some exciting new additions to the lineup too including the East London locals at Zoe’s Ghana Kitchen… its Ghana be tasty! More to be announced… 
 
Teaming up with local alcohol connoisseurs; award winning Butlers Gin and  Quiquiriqu Mezcal, the drinks will be carefully considered using some of the best independent, London based spirit brands around. Enjoy a summertime cocktail menu with the likes of Mezcal slushies and lemongrass, cardamom gin and tonics and Turntables specially brewed lager.
 
MUSIC
 
Dance off the feast to famous faces and rising stars. Spanning the sounds of house, disco, funk, soul and more you can expect a summertime party atmosphere with music curated by Shapes.  Turntables winter pop up hosted a huge roster of exceptional talent and provided a platform for emerging artists. Underground music DJ’s to grace the decks included Krankbrother, Horse Meat Disco, San Soda, Kai of Mount Kimbie, Martelo, Pedestrian, Jody
Wisternoff, The Menendez Brothers, Blue Daisy and more. With takeovers from the likes of Percolate, Feelings,
Mixmag, Track it Down and Colors there are exciting things in store for the summer months…
 
 
VIBES
 
Turntables constantly evolving decor is courtesy of some of London’s finest street artists and creatives, a reflection of the creative Hackney Wick community. Turntables hosts  live art, exhibitions and some exciting collaborations. The stretch tent has been pulled back to create both shelter and a sunshine terrace when the London summer is in full swing. The space spans a huge bar, 2-3 street food shacks, a decked dancefloor and chilled seating hangouts by the canal. Chill out in the sun, have a little dance, even dock your boat and pop in for a cocktail!
 
TURNTABLES
 
Inspired by passion to share food, music and good times Turntables was born. Crafting a new dimension in outdoor dining, Turntables is a collaborative project created by people local to the Wick whose ethos is to support emerging talent and rising stars creating an inclusive, outdoor, feel good atmosphere fit for any discerning foodie or music lover.
