Continuing Déepalma Records’ post-summer releases, Ucha and Darksidevinyl stake their claim with an incredible three-track offering – Tijuana EP.
Opening the release, ‘Tijuana’ is a positively addictive blend of Afro-House flavours. Its driving drums and late-night energy are complemented by layers of soulful melodies, prompting an unavoidable and primal urge to move your body.
‘El Hambre’ comes next, with darker tones and an enchanting aura. More Afro influence collides with a striking melodic techno format, bringing intrinsic grooves to match its breathtaking transitional segments – laden with gripping synth lines and climactic crescendos.
‘Kumaya’ then completes the EP with yet more awe-inspiring melodic focus. It’s celestial energy combines with sturdy drum work and swaying grooves as the track progressively develops, adding more and more anticipation and emotion via layers of intricate synths, pads and strings.
