UK based event DBE are known across the country and beyond for their multi-genre mid-week shindigs. At a point in time where they are unable to put on the parties that they built their name upon, they have turned their current efforts to raising money for the mental health charity, Mind.
On Friday 20th November, they’re set to host a special audio/visual live stream, The Generator A/V Experience, from one of Loughborough’s historic buildings. Performing on the stream will be a selection of DBE’s resident DJ’s whilst the visual elements will be provided by Swehttam and bx404.
When asked about the stream, DBE founder Pasquale explained how “we’re embarking on an Audio/Visual adventure in one of Loughborough’s most historic buildings. The Generator building started life as ‘Loughborough College of Technology,’ supplying power to nearby buildings via two salvaged WW2 German Warship diesel engines. It later became the Loughborough University’s School of Art & Design. We’re forever grateful to ‘Our Neighbourhood’ & ‘Charnwood Arts’ for giving us the keys to this one-of-a-kind space for us to create our interactive audio/visual experience.”
Speaking on the current circumstances faced, Pasquale said how “we’re very aware that these times are particularly tough. It’s super important to make everyone aware that there are people out there to help guide us through these times mentally. Mind is a nationwide charity that does wonderful things for those in need. Recent events have seen them stretched and we urge anyone with spare change to donate to this great charity.”
The collaborative stream between DBE, Swehttam, OurNeighbourhood, Charnwood Arts, bx404 and Teknic is set to take place Friday 20th November 20:00 – 01:00 GMT and will be available at https://www.dbe.me/dbe-tv
