Born with a love for performing and a natural talent for storytelling through song, Sean Lomas is an emerging singer-songwriter poised to make a lasting impression. With a unique blend of heartfelt lyrics, unforgettable melodies, and a powerful stage presence, Lomas effortlessly weaves together stories of love, loss, and coming of age, creating an emotional landscape that resonates with his listeners.
Hailing from Chelmsford, Sean was surrounded by music from an early age. Raised in a household where music was ever-present, he found inspiration in the sounds of legendary artists such as Ed Sheeran and Snow Patrol. These musical influences shaped his listening habits and helped him develop a profound appreciation for the power of music to evoke real emotions and connect with people on a deeper level. He first picked up a guitar aged 9, a moment that ignited a lifelong passion for songwriting. Channelling his innermost thoughts and feelings into heartfelt melodies, he discovered a release through music.
Drawing from personal experiences throughout his teens and observing the world around him, Sean began crafting songs that offered a glimpse into his world, with each track displaying raw honesty and vulnerability. Aged 15 he was performing at intimate venues such as the Hoxton Underbelly and the Old Blue Last. He spent these formative years honing his craft, which has led to performing at venues including the 02 Academy Islington.
The (now) 21-year-old has begun a new chapter of his musical journey this year, collaborating with Oli Fox (Áine Deane, James Smith) to create an authentic feel-good sound, inspired by the likes of Tom Grennan, Maisie Peters and Jp Saxe. He has also caught the attention of tastemaker and radio presenter Jodie Bryant through his social media. The single ‘Spark’, released earlier this year, was met with widespread approval, earning him a Wonderland feature and the ‘Weekly Vibe’ on BBC Introducing Essex. Now Sean is back and ready to capitalise on the momentum of his year so far with his latest single ‘Beautiful’.
‘Beautiful’ tells the story of first love through his unconditionally honest lyrics over upbeat energetic instrumental palletes. He explains “it’s all about that first time you meet someone and you just know they’re going to be the one for you”
As Sean continues to forge his own path, he remains committed to creating music with his authentic storytelling and introspective lyrics. He hopes to inspire people in the ever-changing world we live in, through the transformative power of music. With a future brimming with promise and potential, Sean invites listeners to join him on an unforgettable journey of growth, love, and self-discovery.
