Ultra Europe Celebrates Landmark Fifth Anniversary

Destination Ultra returned to Croatia’s Dalmatian coast this past week, as over 120,000 attendees from 148 countries enjoyed the weeklong array of events. The flagship event, ULTRA Europe, was streamed live via UMFTV with hours of continuous dance music reaching 3.3 million viewers worldwide.

Kicking off on Thursday, July 13, Nicole Moudaber presented MOOD at the RESISTANCE Opening Party at the Giraffe Palm Beach House, bringing along special guests Cristoph and Hito, all of whom laid down an impressive display of house and techno at the waterfront venue. The jubilant atmosphere at the packed club set the celebratory tone for the festivities to come.

The main event, ULTRA Europe, drew over 100,000 fans across three days. Tiësto, Armin van Buurenand Hardwell closed the ULTRA Main Stage each night while Dubfire B2B Nicole Moudaber, Carl Coxand Sasha & John Digweed capped off proceedings on the RESISTANCE stage. B2B sets were the theme of the weekend for RESISTANCE with seven head-to-head performances across the three days.

As the Dalmatian sun set each night, the four stages in and around the Poljud Stadium were doused in a warm orange glow, as the music and atmosphere became increasingly electric. By the time the smoke had settled from the huge firework displays at the Poljud Stadium, festivalgoers were left with an inimitable and unforgettable experience. With a surprise set from Afrojack on the Arcadia Spectacular ‘Afterburner' along with scores of exclusive track premieres across the festival, the weekend was a constant source of wonder.

The sheer magnitude of the weeklong series of events saw revellers enjoy performances from over 140 world-class electronic acts across seven stages, on three islands and the Croatian mainland. From the Regatta on the island of Brač, to the 5000 strong ULTRA Beach 'the greatest pool party on earth' (The Sun – 2017) on the island of Hvar, Destination Ultra left no stone unturned. Culminating with RESISTANCE Vis at the ancient Fort George on the final day, Sasha B2B Nic Fanciulli closed the week in epic style and rounded off another successful year for 'Europe's Premier Destination Music Festival.'

ULTRA Europe is confirmed to return on July 6-8, 2018.
