UNTOLD Launches Recycling Competition “Show You Can”

Eastern Europe’s biggest dance festival UNTOLD (1-4 August, Cluj-Napoca) continues its commitment to sustainability by announcing SHOW YOU CAN — a big recycling contest in association with Ursus Breweries. The contest takes place in the run-up to and during the festival itself, which features the likes ofDavid Guetta, Martin Garrix, Solomun, Tale Of Us, Andy C, Bastille and Oscar And The Wolf on its all-star line-up.

UNTOLD has partnerships with some of the biggest companies in Romania who share a common goal of developing excellent corporate social responsibility programmes. This partnership with Ursus Breweries is just the latest in a long line of their initiatives to use the popularity and reach of their festival to help make positive social changes.

SHOW YOU CAN invites the public to submit their ideas for innovative uses of recycled materials, with the winning project receiving a €10,000 grant from UNTOLD for its creation and its creator also receiving a trip to the festival itself along with travel and accommodation. The winner and four other finalists will also spend five days in Brussels at an internship at the European Parliament, in the European Parliament's Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety. The winning project will also be displayed in the festival grounds itself.

Those wishing to enter have until March 25th to submit their proposal at untold.com/showyoucan.

"We are delighted to launch with our partners this beautiful project aimed at informing and raising the awareness of young people on selective recycling” says Bogdan Buta, UNTOLD General Manager. “We hope to gather as many ideas as possible and the most ambitious to be in the festival.”
“Ursus Breweries was the first company to bring packaging recycling on the UNTOLD map, delivering packing collection activities. The integration of collection, reuse and recycling into our festival story is a message from the beer king to all those who can contribute to environmental protection.”

4-day passes can be bought on the official website and more info can be found here.
