Uun – Chaos Element
Uun, hailing from Kansas City, USA makes his debut on Eternal Drive Recordings, and we are very pleased by this. His EP titled “Chaos Element” is an outstanding showcase of Uun’s continually rising ability and ear for top notch techno. The title track “Chaos Element” is a warehouse thumper that will, without a doubt, fit effortlessly in the middle of any “proper” techno set. Crisp, clear, and concise, Chaos Element demands the listeners attention throughout. Uun’s natural ability to use stereo makes this track an audio delight. For his second track, “Bend ing Mind”, Uun takes a similar, but more straight-ahead percussive approach to his big room sound. DJs will be crushing their dance floors with this one, as it’s a true peak-time weapon. It features several massive drops and holds unwavering intensity from start to finish. First up on remix duties is the one, the only, American Techno and Acid legend, DJ ESP aka Woody McBride. Woody has something else in mind for “Chaos Element” here with his throbbing, atmospheric journey. This remix takes the listener deep into space and back with his pulsating bass, wide panning percussion, and random chord stabs. To close out the EP we have James Kelley and his tracky minimal approach to the title track. James keeps things nice and tight with a droned, locked groove and subtle changes throughout. His remix is a fitting contrast on the EP, and will ha ve the luxury of being played anytime, on any night.
