Man Power - Valhalla & Fidelity

To mark the second anniversary of his now well respected Me Me Me, label boss Man Power steps up with only his second ever release on the label.

The esteemed UK producer launched the label with his ‘Tachyon EP’ back in 2016 and it is still one of the highest selling releases to date. Since then, he has continued to play the best clubs and festivals round the world as well as release on essential other labels like Correspondent, ESP Institute and Optimo Trax, always bringing fresh ideas, raw textures and high production values to everything he does be it house, acid, techno, machine made disco or anything in between.

This standout new EP follows on from a hugely well-received charity compilation ‘We We We’ which raised funds for the Help Refugees charity, as well as his recent “Souvenir’s EP” on Correspondant, and acclaimed remixes for DFA, Southern Fried and My Favorite Robot. All this plus a continued press fascination with Man Power identify him as one of the contemporary scene’s most vital and innovative artists.

Side A here is the brilliant ‘Valhalla’, a masterfully majestic track which creates an epic and cinematic atmosphere with bubbling drums and bass down low, and celestial keys rippling up to the heavens. They are the hopeful rays of light while the bottom end brings the darkness, and that duality makes this another very special and spacious track from this studio wizard in which to get lost.

The flip side is the excellent ‘Fidelity’, which is Man Power “channeling big room house as much as I can, while trying to keep a hold of whatever heart strings I can tug on.” The result is a fantastically brooding track that sweeps you up off your feet, with scintillant synths stretching out into a night sky as Detroit styled drums lay down a soul infused groove. It’s classy and all consuming, and sure to become a real anthem.

Man Power truly proves why he has become such a revered figure with this essential two tracker.

Tracklist:

1.     Valhalla
2.     Fidelity
