Vastra Unionen – Scientist

Swedish duo Adam Bogefors and Carl Hultberg better known by their joint moniker Vastra Unionen are devising another hot slice of Deep and uplifting House by the name of ‘Scientist’. Set to be released on Beatport on the 22nd of May, 2015 and available at the rest of the stores on the 5th of June, 2015, this classy instrumental is seeking further success for the eclectic duo. A strong friendship dating back since 7th grade, ‘Western Union’ as their name translates to English have been gaining constant momentum within the House scene, especially on the Deep House front.
 
Their Deep House twist on Adam Wolt’s ‘Two’ has earned them a special place within the Swedish scene and has managed to make their first release via CUB Sweden a success. ‘Scientist’ is their second project on the Swedish imprint and it’s heading in the path of its predecessor. Already supported by the likes of: Des Mitchell, Fresh FM, Trickstar FM, djjealousy, Mike, Phil, Something Global, ‘Scientist’ can truly serve as a launching pad for Vastra Unionen into a bright future. 
 
A powerful, blasting House groove introduces ‘Scientist’, together with a mesmerising synth loop. A deep-synth bass-line is inducted to provide more depth, whilst the saxophone solos add an organic spice to the track. The single transcends into an infectious main melody, which creates a unique atmosphere when added to the thumping drums and Jazzy vibes of the saxophone, whilst the background vocal effects offer another layer of sonic colour to the stellar production, driving both melodic and rhythmic elements within ‘Scientist’. A series of ascensions and breakdowns characterise the dynamics of the track, creating an original feel to the single and displaying the duo’s striking musical control. The smooth, soulful aura of the project is certainly consummate and can make ‘Scientist’ a staple record within music collections of those with a love for organic and fresh House cuts.
