Vershon shares ‘Thingz’ featuring Busy Signal from the ‘Only One’ EP

Following the recent release of Vershon’s critically acclaimed 6-track ‘Only One’ EP, he releases the atmospheric lyric video for dancefloor banger, ‘Thingz’ featuring dancehall superstar Busy Signal.

With a clear UK Garage influence seeping into the record, thanks to The FaNaTiX UK roots, and the upbeat drum melody skipping through the backbone, ‘Thingz’ is the perfect track to mark the celebration of this exceptional EP release.

Leading into the unveiling of the full project, Vershon, who has previously been tipped for stardom on the BBC Radio 1Xtra’s ‘Hot For’ list, dropped introductory track ‘Original’ before teaming up with UK rap star Chip on ‘Reality’. Most recently his single ‘Stick By Me’, co-written by BRIT & Ivor Novello award winning singer/songwriter Plan B, premiered with Wonderland Magazine and was also chosen by Yasmin Evans as her record of the week on BBC Radio 1Xtra as the “dancehall-inspired rhythm with smooth vocals and romantic lyricism” (Wonderland), grasped hold of its listeners with loving intent.

To celebrate the EP launch, Vershon threw an exclusive online party, hosted by BBC Radio 1Xtra DJ Seani B, and featured Trillary Banks and executive producers The FaNaTiX as he delved in to conversation about the creation of the project, giving fans an upfront listen of previously unreleased tracks. With an insatiable desire to perform, and despite being unable to deliver a live show due to restrictions, Vershon later went on to gift fans with an incredible acoustic version of ‘Stick By Me’ and ‘Reality’, which premiered with TMRW Magazine and displayed his flawless, stripped back vocals.

The brightest UK x JA link up, the ‘Only One’ EP marks an evolution of sounds and styles between two counties, with Vershon at the helm. Already offering a bountiful collection of music releases to his name, tipping over 11 million streams, Vershon’s visionary musical flair explores two cultures rich with musical heritage and buzzing with talent. Executively produced by UK production trio The FaNaTiX, the ‘Only One’ EP musically exposes Vershon in varying perspectives.
