Spanish sensation Wade kicks up a whirlwind for his follow-up single on Insomniac Records, taking the shape of his club-ready tech house cut “Hurricane,” which arrives with the force of a typhoon.
As its title suggests, “Hurricane” sees Wade stirring up a tempest in the studio for what’s arguably his most potent production yet. The track rolls in on a gust of wind via its torrential intro, reinforced with alarming siren samples. A brazen hip-hop vocal proceeds to push the attitude off the charts, with its pitched-up bravado allowing for maximum energy. The thundering throb of the bassline keeps the turbulent rhythm locked, as the boisterous bars sweep through the space, while the returning sirens place things right at the eye of the storm.
Wade pulls no punches when it comes to the cyclone-powered energy of his new single, saying, “I’m thrilled to return to Insomniac Records with one of my latest tracks that ranks among my personal favourites,” he says. “And this time, I’m definitely aiming for a more festival-focused offering that delivers a massive sound.”
He confirms “Hurricane” was engineered with primetime intent, succeeding in its effort to ramp up the hype for this year’s summer season. “It was born from wanting to come back strong with an explosive track that features a storming sound. What better way to do it than partnering with Insomniac Records, presenting it at EDC Las Vegas, the opening of Ushuaïa Ibiza, and throughout my entire season at Europe’s biggest festivals?”
Hailing from the province of Seville in the southern region of Spain, Wade earned his internationally revered status from his ability to effortlessly weave Flamenco and other cultural influences into his rock-solid tech house sound. On his riveting Insomniac Records debut in 2022, “Shake & Bounce,” Wade created a bridge between bombastic house music and smouldering hip-hop. To say the single was well received is putting it lightly, having accumulated an excess of 4 million streams to date on Spotify alone, as well as garnering radio support from Vintage Culture, Claptone, Joel Corry, CID, Tough Love, Wax Motif, Armin van Burren, and many more.
