Few markers of success are as great as being called up for remixing duties by one of the biggest and most iconic names in dance music. ‘Waiting For Love’, Avicii’s smash hit that was released earlier this year to great fanfare, has now been officially reworked and reimagined by the Chicago based production trio, Autograf.
An undertaking of epic proportions, Autograf have risen to the challenge and managed to imprint their own sound on ‘Waiting for Love’ to great effect, transforming it into an excitable deep house jam. A characteristic of any good remix, Autograf seamlessly blend aspects of the original, including the vocal and melodic chord sequence, with their own stylistic production ideas and signature marimba sound, creating an end product that is both musically inventive as well as worthy of Avicii’s recognition.
Still riding on the success of their first original single, ‘Dream’, and with a packed out US tour schedule, as well as talks of more original material set to come in the near future, this remix only adds to the increasing levels of excitement surrounding Autograf.
