Cabarza - Want You EP

Manchester-based producer Cabarza delivers his ‘Want You EP’ on Kaluki Musik this December, featuring three original productions and a remix from Yousef.

Jason Herd, formerly one half of Kaluki founding duo Pirate Copy, has been establishing himself as a solo artist under his Cabarza moniker, gaining momentum with releases on Area Remote, Circus Recordings and of course his own Savage Music. The ‘Want You Ep’ sees Herd continue to deliver high quality house music with his first outing on Kaluki Musik under the Cabarza alias.  

Opening with ‘Want You’, Cabarza delivers swinging drums, a rumbling bass melody and hypnotic vocal licks all held together with echoing transitions before Circus Recordings founder Yousef’s remix of the title track provides a grooved low-end, pulsating atmospheres and crisp percussion to compliment the samples from the original.

‘Unconditional’ follows, offering intense risers, mesmerising mid-range melodies and dubbed out vocal cuts underpinned by a heavyweight kick and shuffling hi-hats, whilst ‘We Got Our Own Thing’ hits hard with haunting synthesiser motifs, glitched percussive rhythms and utterances of the tracks title to close the release.

Cabarza’s ‘Want You EP’ drops on Kaluki Musik on 29th December 2017.
