Warren Fellow, a prominent figure of the Dutch scene, is well known for his ceaseless festival and club circuit work. As such, his releases hit high octane heights yet tempered with a deep soul mentality that has attracted labels like Desolat and Circle, along with remix duty for artists such as Darko Esser and Alex Flatner.
Unsurprisingly, this has translated into a main room experience outing on Lucidflow, as “The Nature Of Sound” dispenses with any meandering nonsense, working thunking beats and a nagging bassline hook.
Turning his hand to the trademark scalpel edged Lucidflow sound, “Always Be” slots right into the catalogue, moving with ease with the faintest suggestion of melodic textures that rise to prominence over the main break.
Finishing off the release is “Spaces”, a little shining star of a track. The staccato arpeggio gives the groove led approach momentum and is garnished with the simplest yet most effective of touches a sharp open 909 hihat that nicks you with a cut of clarity.
“The Nature Of Sound” is already supported by the likes of Sasha, SIS, Eelke Kleijn, Hermanez, Estroe and many others.
