Waxed

After the widespread success of his last release “All Night’, Sonny Wharton returns to X Records with ‘Waxed’, due for release on Friday 22nd April.

‘Waxed’ is a straight-up, no-holds-barred slice of jacking house, with its irresistibly grooving bassline, whooping vocal sample, shimmying percussion and hints of crowd cheers in the background. It’s typical of the sound that Sonny has honed over his years of experience playing some of the world’s best clubs in Ibiza, and a great example of the high-quality underground material that X Records aims to share with the world.

About Sonny Wharton

A regular artist on Brighton-based Skint Records and with releases on the likes of Size, Toolroom, Spinning’ and Material, Sonny also runs his own successful label Whartone Records, which recently celebrated its 5th birthday with an album of re-edits by Sonny himself of releases past and present.

Sonny made his name in the Ibiza club scene, and has since received plenty of support from the likes of Carl Cox, Fatboy Slim and Pete Tong, making him a strong addition to the X Records roster.
