This summer sees the arrival of a new vinyl only imprint from chief FUSE London resident Rich NxT. After NxT Records launched in 2016 as another platform for Rich’s own prolific output, What NxT will feature new music from emerging as well as established artists, all adhering to one rule: the music belongs deep in his own record bag.
“The simple mission of the label is to release music that I love to play. I was playing a lot of unreleased new music this winter in Australia, the US and Mexico and I thought, fuck, these just have to be heard! Like everyone, I have my own take on what I love to play and what better thing to do than put these sounds out.”
Proud to be giving a platform to emerging artists destined for big things, alongside established artists, from UK and abroad – Rich’s innate skills as a selector as well as being a ninja in the studio means the quality of the music curated will always be top notch. Coming from a man, whose sets are half his own productions and, who always delivers the goods, whatever time of day, getting a release on What NxT is praise indeed.
What NxT’s first release is a VA kicking off with Berlin resident Tolga Top, with a groove that’s as incredibly funky as it is hypnotic. Next up Croatian scene player and FUSE extended family Mariano Mateljan lays down a stripped back roller that is heavy on any club system. Emerging UK artists Josh Baker and Moonlit Vision, both introduce their styles on the flip side with proper dancefloor direction.
This is music to get your rave on.
Out 14th July.
