Italian dance duo Luppi have announced their debut single, ‘What’s Love Got To Do With It’, out now via Polydor.
A smooth and addictive synth-based production, the track acts as a reworking of Tina Turner’s 1984 classic of the same title. Displaying their highly skilled production abilities on the release, Luppi’s rendition of ‘What’s Love Got To Do With It’ flaunts a slowed tempo and soothing melody which runs throughout the track. Topped with a floaty breakdown, the melodic production marks a strong debut for the European pair.
Paying homage to their Italian roots, the pair state that the track is inspired by the city of Turin, and legendary Juventus footballer, Roberto Baggio, adding, “We love Tina Turner, she is truly an icon here, much like the great Roberto Baggio. ‘What’s Love Got To Do With It’ is inspired by evenings in Turin and the free spirit of Italian women.”
With Italian brothers Luppi focusing on the free spirit of their native women, their sound embodies their own free spirits. The Italian dance duo are set to make a huge impact on the dance industry with ‘What’s Love Got To Do With It’. Their debut serving demonstrates the brothers’ cleverly-crafted musical talents and is the perfect soundtrack to kick start their highly promising careers.
