Every now and then a track appears which makes you sit up and take notice before it's even been played. That was certainly the case last year when the original 'When Love Gets In The Way EP' was released on French label, Jango Deep. Reason being it was co-produced by none other than Chicago House legend, Ron Carroll, UK's prolific vocalist, Steve Edwards, Swedish sensation Michael Murica and label boss, Damon Grey. Clearly the original mix was destined to be a smash and all subsequent remixes hit the spot too. Now, in 2016, Michael Murica has decided to re-visit this classic, ably assisted by the extremely talented Mowgli, to put yet another electrifying to it.
The result is a tight, jacking Deep House number which perhaps aptly consists of the biggest "artist/title" name in letters as you're likely to see this year as it's certain to be one big tune in the coming weeks and months. Dubbed-out vocals are layered over soul-searching keys to create a subtle yet deeply emotional track which is as much testament to the original production as it is to the skills of Michael Murcia & Mowgli's carefully crafted rework. Much as they were of the original, big things are rightly anticipated for this classy remix, which won't hang around for long. Make sure you grab your copy.
