Mark Jenkyns & Andre Salmon - Where We Live EP

Following on from 2017’s ‘Hey Honey’ which saw powerhouse producers Mark Jenkyns and Andre Salmon join forces for the B-side to Mark’s insanely successful Sirens EP on Hottrax, the pair reunite on February 23rd dropping two tried and tested club weapons on the hotly anticipated Where We Live EP via Resonance Records.

A statement of intent from the off, the title track is a hypnotic, techy groover with a driving bassline and layered vocal samples which recreate the energy of a peak time dancefloor and make this the perfect option to keep any crowd moving. There is no slowing down with MFB either – here, the pair have partnered scattered, futuristic synths with infectious percussion across an 8-minute marathon of a track that relentlessly builds over a serious wobble of a bassline. Apollo 84 joins proceedings for his remix of Where We Live which sees him add his inimitable style and take the track in a fresh direction to really round off the package.

A chance meeting at the legendary Lost Beach club in Andre Salmon’s home country of Ecuador first put the two producers in the same room; it wasn’t long after that they started working on some production ideas together in the studio and as they say – the results speak for themselves.  As 2018 begins to heat up for both producers, with Mark Jenkyns lining up EPs on Hot Creations, VIVa and Defected, and Andre Salmon enjoying recent success with releases on labels like Roush, Sagmen and Natura Viva, expect this weighty EP to be dropping in the sets of key players for the foreseeable future.
