Wilkinson – Hopelessly Coping

Directed by Alex Huxley, the video is the melancholy reality of a day in the life of a young girl trying to stay afloat. A beautiful portrayal of majestic strength. Like the regal horses, this young mother is trapped in a race she can’t seem to escape, hopelessly coping.

Signed to RAM Records / Virgin EMI, Wilkinson is the drum & bass producer and DJ on everyone’s lips, and following his chart success with ‘Afterglow’, ‘Half Light’ and ‘Dirty Love’, Wilkinson returns with brand new single Hopelessly Coping. The track features Thabo, the first signing to Naughty Boy’s Naughty Records label, who co-wrote the single along with Wilkinson. The single is released on 3rd May and has already been premiered as Annie Mac’s Special Delivery on Radio 1.

No stranger to the game, having remixed and collaborated with the likes of Ed Sheeran, Gorgon City, TC, Angel Haze, Naughty Boy, Chase & Status, Wretch 32, Katy B, Laura Mvula and Nero, he deservedly scooped ‘Best Single’, ‘Best Album’, ‘Best Video’ and ‘Best Producer’ at the 2014 Drum & Bass Awards. He was recently personally asked to remix The Prodigy’s latest single ‘Wild Frontier’.

Coming off the back of his phenomenal first headline tour with UKF in October, Wilkinson has helped successfully put Drum & Bass back on the map as a genre not to be reckoned with, pushing his sets to new limits in front of packed out crowds. Last summer also saw him perform at the Radio 1 Big Weekend, Glastonbury, Wireless, SW4, Reading, Leeds, T In The Park, EDC Vegas and a run of dates at Amnesia in Ibiza. Wilkinson recently announced his debut live show in London 3rd April at Brixton Electric, with now only a few tickets remaining.  Showing no sign of slowing down, this gig will see Wilkinson play his first show with a fully live 3-piece band and 4 vocalists.

This summer, he will play headline live slots at Reading & Leeds Festival, SW4 and Snowbombing and will also be a resident at Amnesia in Ibiza.

His album ‘Lazers Not Included’ went to number 1 on the iTunes Dance Chart in 10 countries and Top 5 smash single ‘Afterglow’ sold 300,000 copies and has picked up 32 million YouTube views.
