Wilza Highlights His Vibrant Signature Sound in ‘U Know It Ain’t Cool’

Wilza keeps his momentum driving forward as he drops his latest Tech House track, ‘U Know It Ain’t Cool’ via his label SwingBeat Records. A quick return following the release of his single, ‘What You See,’ Wilza now brings a fresh take on Bobby Brown’s 1980s hit ‘Don’t Be Cruel,’ offering the second single from his new Jack House swing project in which he works to revitalise the New Jack Swing genre by adding his own contemporary twist.

Taking the skills and experience he has fostered over his long-standing journey within Electronic Music, Wilza has been focussing his creative efforts on this new project; consolidating his influence from RnB and House into a cohesive style, his approach sees him offering listeners a hint of nostalgia whilst infusing refreshing energy into his productions. As he seeks to pay homage to his personal favourites from the 80s and 90s music scene, Wilza emerges with a sound that captures the essence of these influential decades while incorporating modern production techniques: the result, epitomised in this latest single, comes as dancefloor-ready music that appears poised to unite listeners with its familiar yet unique sound.

‘U Know It Ain’t Cool’ envelops the listener in a vibrant sonic landscape: starting with a steady House beat, introducing playful percussive elements, the infectious bassline joins to provide a solid foundation for the track to build against, evolving as pulsing synths, soft chordal progressions, and the vocals of the Bobby Brown original enter. By splicing the vocal lines, adding risers, and developing the rhythmic composition, Wilza elevates the funky vibes of the track, introducing fresh energy with the breakdowns and groovy drops.

Showcasing his ability to blend the past with the present, creating an auditory experience that will appeal to both long-time fans of New Jack Swing and new listeners, ‘U Know It Ain’t Cool’ appears an impactful release in Wilza’s new musical chapter as it serves to indicate his creative promise and sets the stage for future projects.

So, be sure to stay tuned to Wilza’s journey by following him across social media, diving into ‘U Know It Ain’t Cool’ today: out now and available to stream and download across platforms.
