Wireless Festival Marks A Record-Breaking Year With Cardi B, Travis Scott, J Hus, Rae Sremmurd, Skepta + More

Wireless Festival has wrapped up another SOLD OUT year, with the 2019 event sitting as one for the record books. For the first time ever, next year’s tickets are now officially on sale – giving fans the chance to snap them up straight away.

Kicking off Friday in style, Cardi B was the talk of the town with a set full of surprises for her first UK festival headline slot. Watched side-of-stage by Janet Jackson, Cardi brought the hits and more – with rapturous special guest appearances from Lil Nas X to perform song of the summer ‘Old Town Road’ and Migos’ own Offset.

Migos delivered an action-packed co-headline set of their own – one that ignited the vast crowds gathered with a stellar trip through their unstoppable catalogue. Special guest appearances also reigned supreme on the Pepsi Max Stage through Friday, with JME joining Fredo at his huge set, while RAYEmade a surprise appearance during Maleek Berry’s celebrated set. With further performances throughout the day from Ella Mai, Tory Lanez, Bugzy Malone and more – Wireless is once again the go-to festival destination for the best in modern culture.

Proving just why he stands as one of the most electrifying live performers on the planet, Travis Scott transformed Wireless into Astroworld with a spectacular headline set on Saturday. Met by a rapturous crowd throughout and performing an unreleased track for the Wireless faithful too. Earlier in the day,Skepta made a surprise appearance on the Main Stage as a ‘Special Guest’, serving a set full of classics and fresh new cuts alike that left an undeniable mark on day two of the festival.
Saturday was also THE day for special guests, with England international Raheem Sterling checking out proceedings and even popping up on-stage during Steel Banglez set – met by a huge response, while Stefflon Doncommanded the Main Stage before bringing out Idris Elba to light up the stage with his verse on huge hit ‘Boasty’. Future also gave a nod to the thriving UK scene with guest appearances from Krept & Konan, NSG and more during his main stage performance.
Rae Sremmurd brought a stunning stadium level show to close out the festival, jumping across the stage (and into the crowd) with hits like ‘No Type’ and ‘Black Beatles’ alongside choice turns through Swae Lee’s own ‘Unforgettable’ and ‘Sunflower’ to truly seize the stage.
True homecoming moments shone on Sunday, with an incredible crowning set from J Hus that saw the Stratford favourite play his first full set in the capital in over a year. Bringing out the hits and capped with fireworks lighting up the North London sky, it proved just why he stands as one of the most exciting artists in the game right now. Over on the Pepsi Max stage just before, AJ Tracey brought the fire for his own hometown celebration, storming through a set that pulled from across his career so far and marked a standout memory from an unrivalled day in Finsbury Park.

Not only celebrated sets from some of today’s very best, but those primed to takeover the future – Sunday played host to a range of hotly tipped newcomers.Megan Thee Stallion continued her march to the top of the hip hop world with a must-see performance on the Pepsi Max stage, while Denzel Curry rolled his way onto the stage (wheelchair and all) for a set full of unstoppable energy. With the likes of Not3s, Flohio, D-Block Europe and more playing across the festival, Wireless Festival rounded out 2019’s weekend in the same way it started. In style.
