With just 50 days to go until Electric Fields 2018 here’s everything you need to know

With just 50 days to go until music lovers unite in the glorious setting of Drumlanrig Castle for Electric Fields, here’s everything that festival goers can look forward to at THE last big party of the summer.

EF organisers have pulled together a mighty fine line-up to help them celebrate their fifth birthday and are delighted to be welcoming a collection of some of the most exciting bands and artists from around the world to a pocket of idyllic Scottish countryside.

They’re welcoming three HUGE headliners led by the mighty Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, for what will be one of the most intimate festival shows of Noels career. Indie legends James (Thursday night headline) will be bringing their back catalogue of anthems, while Leftfield will close the party on Saturday night with what’s set to be a truly memorable live set.

Alongside the big guns they have some of the most exciting artists from around Scotland and further afield with the likes of Teenage Fanclub, Mercury Prize winners Young Fathers, Ezra Furman, The Coral, Shame, Idles, Dream Wife and a ton more.

As well as an amazing musical line-up, EF are expanding their entertainment offering to celebrate their fifth birthday in style. They will welcome back Scotland’s finest wordsmiths Neu Reekie! for 2018 after a smashing debut last year who will be showcasing the best in spoken word on their own dedicated stage.

An all new comedy programme will also make its debut. Led by Burnistoun's Favourite Son Biscuity Boyle.

And as if that’s not enough, this year there will be yoga on offer on Friday and Saturday mornings – the perfect cure for heavy heads and achy dancing feet the morning after the night before.

EF welcomes adults and kids alike. For those planning on attending with their music loving little ones, the all singing all dancing Our Kids Electric area has them covered with something for everyone. The kids area is jam packed with family friendly activities with the special addition of Glasgow Science Centre and Major Minor Music Club for this year. EF are determined to make sure that everyone has the greatest time at Electric Fields and leaves with the best memories of the summer.

And to perfectly round off that festival experience, food lovers can rejoice as Scotland’s best street food purveyors The Pitt will be back to deliver an awesome culinary experience at the festival. There also be specialist cocktails bars and our massive craft and ale bar returns with a wide selection on offer.

Extra Friday day tickets are being released this Friday 10th July at 10am and are likely to be snapped up quickly. The last remaining weekend tickets are also on sale now from www.electricfieldsfestival.com. Don’t miss out on your chance to join the last big party of the summer and experience three days of incredible music, brilliant food and great entertainment with an intimate, community atmosphere where everybody is welcome.

Nick Roberts, Festival Co-Founder, said:

"We’re full steam ahead for the fifth edition of our wee party, and we can’t wait to show everyone what we’ve got in store. We’ve made big changes to the site to make it an even better experience, with a huge new family campsite, a new main stage position and a whole new dance area in the woods. It’s going to be great!".
