Wiwek & Skrillex release short film ‘Still In The Cage’

Wiwek, Skrillex and writer/director Jodeb have unveiled their short film 'Still In The Cage', a dark drama inspired by Wiwek's The Free and Rebellious EP out now on OWSLA. Jodeb helmed the film and brought his creative vision to life in Thailand alongside a fantastic local film crew. Wiwek's music scores the film throughout as it follows a group of young adults on their search for freedom and acceptance. The film debuted last night at the Ace Hotel Theatre in downtown Los Angeles, experience the film in its entirety at stillinthecage.com.

"As a director, I took a chance by making an ironic piece that doesn't take itself too seriously, while still infusing it with drama and darkness. Keeping the balance of tone was a real tight rope experience during editing. All the artists involved in the project weren't scared of challenging the viewers and their fans with all these paradoxical narrative voices, especially because we believe that under the skin of this piece of work, there is a positive message." – Jodeb
