Waze & Odyssey’s Street Tracks today presents its ‘Autumn Sampler’; a cohesive compilation of 4 tracks showcasing emerging and established artists alike.
Opening the EP is a groovy cut called ‘Rola Frita’ from emerging Colombian house producer Felipe Gordon; the track features fleeting high hats, playful use of vocal samples and a bouncing bass line. Taking the tempo up a notch is Deep Space Orchestra’s ‘Quarterly Report’, a seamless blend of euphoric elements and a thudding bass making it the perfect tune for the dance floor. Keeping you moving is crisp house banger ‘Ghetto Child’, My Cat Snoop’s intricate blend of finely diced vocals, high hats and percussion layered over an unrelenting house beat. Rounding off the EP is Mella Dee’s ‘Franco’; where eerie, powerful string-like-synths slide through the beat and weave through the listener’s consciousness to leave an indelible impression.
Following its establishment in 2013, W&O Street Tracks has consistently released music from a wealth of house heavyweights from Amtrac and Walker & Royce to Lancelot and Bodhi. The ‘Autumn Sampler’ is a unique sonic showcase of four distinct tracks unified in their objective to get the listener’s heart racing and feet moving.
