London-based house outfit, Tough Love, are back with a second instalment from their forthcoming ‘What You Need Is Me’ remix package. This fresh take on Tough Love’s original is offered up by Dutch production duo Hardsoul and deep house legend Dennis Quin, and is available to stream now.
Transforming the record into a deeper and darker club-ready house track, Hardsoul and Dennis Quin have managed to give ‘What You Need Is Me’ a new and refreshing edge while still maintaining the impact of the original mix. With a dissonant and brooding bass-line, big four to the floor kicks, and with the original low pitched vocal neatly woven in, this remix is certainly one that will be making the rounds at house and bass nights for months to come.
2015 has undoubtedly been a huge year for Alex and Stefan. Securing residencies at Kiss FM and Sankey’s in Ibiza, enjoying two Top 40 singles, a silver sales achievement for ‘So Freakin Tight’, and a nomination for DJ Mag’s coveted ‘Breakthrough DJ’ award, the future seems very bright for this unstoppable duo.
