Official album announcement: Friday 30th October 2015 will mark the release of ‘X Colour’, the debut full-length album from REDLIGHT – the culmination of an incredible few years for the producer, as well as an exciting new beginning for one of the UK’s most accomplished and respected artists.
Recorded across three different studios between the UK and the U.S, X Colour showcases a completely new body of work, embodying the full spectrum of sounds, influences and feelings that have become synonymous with Redlight. Featuring artists including Billie Black, Prodigy (Mobb Deep), Melisa Whiskey, Roses Gabor, ASTR and Andrea Martin, Redlight explains: “When I’m writing music, I’m always thinking about visuals, colours, emotions – a whole range of feelings and pressures. I wanted to create an album that was sometimes light / sometimes dark. I wanted it to be abrasive, uplifting and rich – through the journey and the collaborations, I’ve been able to create a final product that is something I really believe in.”
With more announcements and music to follow, you can experience the first taste of the album via this filmic trailer, co-directed by Redlight in collaboration with Charles Golding/Hello Charlie: http://Smarturl.it/xcolourtrailer
