LA-based producer, singer, and DJ XIE has released her new Kick Drum Heart EP out now via Lady of the House.
Kick Drum Heart is a heartfelt tribute to the emotional resonance and communal spirit at the core of house music. Inspired by the dancefloor’s power to unite strangers through movement and shared joy, the project embodies the genre’s ethos: bold beats, bright melodies, and infectious grooves. Including previously-released singles ‘LOVE LANGUAGE’ and ‘Siente El Ritmo’, the EP reaffirms XIE as an artist to watch in the house music scene.

I wanted to creatively paint the picture of how music is such a saving grace in my everyday life, and specifically portray how it feels when you’re in the club and the beat is bumping through your body. Combining her background as a classically trained violist and lyrical inclinations as a singer-songwriter with her innate ability to read a crowd in any DJ landscape, XIE is poised to be house music’s next star. XIE’s sound is inherently kaleidoscopic and technicolored, while honing a sassy edge that is distinctively her own and translates to the live stage. Her energetic DJ sets have seen her perform at Coachella’s DoLaB Stage, HARD Summer, Miami Music Week, and EDC Las Vegas. In 2023, XIE dropped a pair of singles, ‘C’est La Vie’ and ‘Birds In Paradise’ via Thrive Music, showcasing her ability to blend playful pop and moody tech-house. Kick Drum Heart marks her return to the scene and the new era that awaits her.
