Chi Thanh - Xin Chao

Chi Thanh returns to Booka Shade’s Blaufield imprint this August with his new single ‘Xin Chao’ (which means “Hello“ in vietnamese).

Berlin based Chi Thanh has experience on the international club and dance music scene having performed around the world alongside the likes of Booka Shade, Tale Of Us and Radio Slave to name a few as well as releasing on Diynamic Music, Blaufield, Get Physical and Stone Free Berlin which has led to regular support from the likes of Pete Tong on his BBC Radio 1 show, Kolsch and many leading publications in the underground electronic music scene.

His last release was a collaboration with acclaimed producer Robot Koch (Monkeytown/Moderat) which was heavily supported by Solomun and was released on his label DIYnamic Music.

‘Xin Chao’ commences with a thumping kick drum and organic and tribal percussion before bass heavy synth drones and metallic atmospherics unfold, generating tension in this high energy cut. CHI THANH goes back to his Asian roots by featuring a traditional Asian Zither Instrument in the main part, while tastefully combining musical analogue elements with current club-ready beats.

Chi Thanh’s ‘Xin Chao’ drops on Blaufield on 24th August.
