Sofia is a city we don’t often hear from in the dance world – apart from of course the live master Kink – but now we get some serious transmission from the Bulgarian city. They are from Shosho, who serves up three top cuts on the Lapsus Music label.
Up first is Xo, a bubbly and warm house cut with bobbling drums, weird sound effects and vocals all hurried deep in the grove. It is peak time stuff to make you dance. Gorillaz is then another tight and tense tech cut with gurgling synths and tumbling toms all littering the groove. Its a sci-fi soundtrack that will make any floor go wild, especially the way it drops in and out. Last of all, Fantastico is all about the taught bass that props up the whole tune. Its high tempo and high energy and will make a big mark on the floor.
