Since opening in mid-September, XOYO Birmingham has been churning out an impressive supply of high-quality clubbing experiences showcasing some of the world’s finest names in electronic music. This Halloween, it plays host to a stack of seasonal events including the Halloween special of its in-house night XOYO Fridays (27 Oct), the mammoth A Weird & Wonderful Halloween Indoor Festival (28 Oct), DJ Russke x Shaqfive (28 Oct), and Cirque Du Soul’s magical Halloween Special (31 Oct). XOYO Fridays have quickly become a Friday night ritual for the people of Birmingham. On 27th October, it will continue doing what it does best, bringing the good vibes over four rooms, each with its own distinct style from drum’ n ’bass to tech house, disco to R&B. For an unmatched atmosphere and an entry price that leaves plenty of change for a Pumpkin Latte, what better way to kickstart the Halloween weekend.
On Saturday 28th October, the scare factor is notched up to 100 for A Weird & Wonderful Halloween Special as it brings a spooky venue makeover and scare actors who’ll roam the dancefloors. This takeover sees heavyweight drum ‘n’ bass brands Hospitality Records and Jungle Cakes bring a wave of the genre’s biggest names to Birmingham, including Metrik, P Money & Whiney, Anaïs, Dynamite MC, DJ Marky, Roni Size, Benny Page, Ed Solo, Mampi Swift and more. Local UKG brand 2tekky will also take over the Roof Garden, accompanied by Mavros, Mesopolonica and Whatty.
Also on Saturday night, XOYO’s The Factory room is host to something completely different altogether. Birmingham rap and hip hop favourites DJ Russke and Shaqfive go back to back in a four hour special. This is one to whip out the fancy dress for, so for those inclined, make your best effort!
On Halloween itself, the colourful party brand Cirque Du Soul arrives to present its Halloween Special, welcoming UK-based breakthrough drum ‘n’ bass talent Goddard, joined by Dread MC, Luke Wolfman, Holl3, Treist b2b DDQ, False 9, Kezz, Borderline Massive, Stammers and more. Clubbers can expect a fully transformed space as with all Cirque Du Soul events, plus something eerie around every corner.
XOYO Birmingham has given the city’s blossoming nightlife culture a new lease on life, catering up to 3,000 music lovers at a time across its five rooms and roof garden, offering the best views in Brum.
After a £500,000 full creative refurb containing cutting-edge production value, XOYO Birmingham’s commitment to providing a safe, inclusive dancefloor as part of a quality clubbing experience continues to be matched by the quality of their live electronic music programming.
With a diverse selection of four parties across the Halloween period in Birmingham’s newest premier clubbing complex, XOYO is undeniably living up to their ethos of “All We Wanna Do Is Dance”.
