XOYO Birmingham, Digbeth’s in-demand late-night music venue, will inject some quality, international talent into the city when it stages the Philadelphia-born, Berlin-based DJ and producer, LSDXOXO on Friday 24th May. This bank holiday special, in association with house party collective, Hooker Club, will see the genre-blending master take to the 360-degree DJ booth at XOYO alongside an innovative mix of electronic talents, making it one huge warm up for Birmingham Pride weekend. Raushaan Glasgow, known professionally as LSDXOXO, gained fame in NYC as a DJ and producer, performing in the city’s hottest clubs where he became an underground icon. Recognised for his unique artistry and energetic sets, oozing with fun and camp vibes, fans of the alternative can get up close and personal with LSDXOXO and marvel in a melting pot of ghetto house with pop vocal samples thrown over hardcore, electro and techno beats.
An explosive lineup of sounds is in store on the night with support coming from Birmingham’s genre-bending Trieste back-to-back with another unbounded by genre artist, Matica; honorary Brum, Lilith who’ll bring the heavyweight bass and percussive electronica; and Malado spinning everything from jungle through to tech house.
With its killer sound system with extra subs, a 360-degree laser system to complement the 360-degree DJ booth, this event is sure to be a highlight of the venue’s summer calendar.
