Y Not Festival adds more acts…

Y Not Festival announces a whole new wave of incredible artists and comics to catch on the main stage and Flamingo Jacks – joining the already announced headliners Elbow, Two Door Cinema Club and Foals plus many more. 
 
Added to an already immense line up of music for 2019 are local Sheffield heroes  Reverend and the Makers, The Streets’ frontman and icon in his own right Mike Skinner (DJ set), Grime legend Wretch 32, acclaimed rock duo Band of Skulls and one of the world’s hottest new DJ, Jax Jones. 
  
Also added to the bill areRedlight, Boston Manor, Beans on Toast and Pulled Apart By Horses, Pretty Vicious, Psychedelic Porn Crumpets, October Drift, Feet, Allusinlove, Patawawa, Lion, Heavy Rapids, Giant Rooks, Cosmo Calling, The Ninth Wave, Ambiere, Alfie Neale, Twenty Eigth Club, Talkboy, Saytr Play, Le Boom and Stoked and Broke. 
 
Y Not is so much more than the music – and for those lovers of comedy or even festival goers who need a break from the dancing, we bring you… Flamingo Jacks! Catch the UK’s finest drag with Mariah and Friendz, chant along to Wonderwall with the definitive tribute band Noasis, or join the choice? with the all-singing, all-dancing church service Oh My God! It's the Church. Also on offer is Hip Hop Karaoke, Guilty Pleasures, Rhythm of the 90s, The Karaoke Hole, The In-Here Bros, Lounge Kittens, Old Dirty Brasstards, The Horn Divisionand John Leathers Tarantino Disco.
 
Bringing buckets of laughter to the Peak District are the UK’s finest collection of comics. On the bill is Never Mind the Buzzcocks’ hero Phil Jupitus,  BGT’s hilarious Lost Voice Guy, smooth-talking stand-up Simon Evans, comedy queen Shappi Khorsandi, as well as Ramond & Mr Timpkins, Andre Vincent,  Damian Clark, Kelly Convey, Thomas Green,  Daniel Muggleton and Mo Omar.You’ll be laughed off your camping chairs in no time! 
 
All of this and an unbeatable music line up are at this year’s Y Not. Crossing the Peaks to kick things off are local legends, Elbow. With an array of hits; new and old you’ll be singing along with an entire crowd for this one. Irish indie trio Two Door Cinema Club have some unfinished business for Y Not Festival. As returning headliners, they’re bringing their A-game this summer and some brand new bangers along the way. 
 
Returning to the spotlight – rock heroes Foals will be finishing an unbelievable weekend of music, choosing Y Not to play as part of their limited run of UK shows in their big comeback year.
 
Elsewhere on the bill, Wolf Alice, Franz Ferdinand, You Me At Six, Happy Mondays, IDLES, White Lies, Gerry Cinnamon, Miles Kane, The Hunna and many more to round out the biggest UK indie-rock line-up of the year.

Back for its 14th year this summer, Y Not will take place in Pikehall, Derbyshire from25th-28th July. Since 2005 Y Not Festival began life as an over-spilling house party in deepest Derbyshire. With panoramic countryside views, a fully stocked bar of local ales, a mouth-watering selection of food and more live music than you can shake a stick at…Y Not has all bases covered.
 
Last year’s festival included The Libertines, Catfish and the Bottlemen, Jamiroquai, Kaiser Chiefs, Manic Street Preachers and many more.
