Yellow Claw’s House Side Project €URO TRA$H Releases 13-Track Studio Album “House Music For Stripclubs”

Hot off the heels of their last singles “Stick Ya Lips” and “House Music So Good,” both of which served as a perfect prologue to their 2nd body of work, €URO TRA$H is back with the highly anticipated full album, “House Music for Stripclubs.” The 13-track project truly encapsulates the raw, edgy, club-friendly vibe of Yellow Claw‘s alter ego; from the seductive bass lines of the opening track “10 Outta 10” to the steamy vocal riffs of “Body Pop” and the soulful flow of “Something Real,” the iconic Dutch duo knows how to create a vibe that evokes the sexy, fun and always hype energy of the world’s best strip clubs and its community. Heaters like “Tie Me Up” and “Little Lick” go out on a provocative limb while staying true to €URO TRA$H‘s spirit, blending heavy sounds and unpolished vocals for an authentic underground vibe. The duo recruited a multitude of talent both on the album and behind the scenes, including working with former strippers and photographers to craft the perfect visual design. Read for all the juicy details on “House Music for Stripclubs” straight from the artists themselves, and keep an eye out for an exciting tour announcement very soon, which will be the very first official tour of €URO TRA$H.

Everything from the hustle of the girls, the scruffy dirty dollar bills, and the surroundings itself. Stripclubs and their aesthetics inspire us. The first inspiration came from a friend of ours called OGAQUAFINA when we were working on the previous album – “Y€$.” She danced in clubs for years, and she loved it and was really good at it. She also rapped and even had a duo called the $ugar Babies, on which we also vibed. We had a studio day with her, and she absolutely ripped that day and wrote “1F2F” on the spot. That song, both the beat and the narrative, showed us what the €URO TRA$H project is or should be. The fat, groovy bass lines combined with ratchet club vocals are shown in a very unpolished way. Real shit. That’s the kind of house music we love. And love to make. It gave us our direction for what has become our second studio album as €URO TRA$H. “1F2F” went hard in the stripclubs and saw a lot of footage coming from there. If a song is hot in the stripclubs it’s hot everywhere we feel like. It passed the test somehow, you know?

While writing this album, we met an ex-stripper photographer online who had an amazing Instagram with all kinds of stripclub/nightlife pictures that showed us she really was an insider. We met up with her once in Seattle to hang out and talk, and ultimately got her to take some pictures for us to go with the album art and images for the inside of the vinyl release. She ended up being one of the main inspirations for the album.

We wrote half of this album while touring in the United States, using our off days to meet up with people. They were not always artists; sometimes, they were just people we thought were interesting or had a good vibe or a great voice. The other half came together with writing for an 8-week period in the paradise of IndonesiaBali. We wrote a song called “10 Outta 10” with OGAQUAFINA after we talked about a house somewhere in Cancun filled with only fangirls shooting content all day with each other and making insane amounts of money with it. That whole convo made us write “10 Outta 10” in a couple of hours. “Pipe It Up” is another song that accurately catches the vibe of Las Vegas and shapes the album as a whole. Cuz we love the bright side of it all, which is showcased on the album, this song represents the grimier side of it.” – €URO TRA$H aka Yellow Claw

Yellow Claw launched their side project €URO TRA$H in 2021, swiftly establishing themselves as a prominent force in the landscape by releasing “1F2F,” “Dipped in $ugar,” and “B€NZ,” all of which quickly became club favorites. The alias itself gives them the artistic freedom their music deserves and offers the two men the opportunity to challenge themselves once more to make sense of their blend of house music, strip club vibes, and underground warehouse party energy. In an industry that is dominated by single-release tracks, their debut album “¥€$” made them stand out while simultaneously showcases their versatility with collaborations such as Los Angeles-based OGAQUAFINA and Wax MotifIndonesian artists Syaqish and RamengvrlMalaysian rapper Lil’ Asian Thiccie, and the Brazilian house act Almanac. The album, with its iconic GIFs-turned-cover art, showcases the scope and vision of the project in the best possible way. 2024 started out with some of the duo’s first guest appearances on Tchami‘s Confession imprint and AC Slater’s Night Bass, keeping the flow of new music consistent, just the way we like it.
