This November sees Dogmatik label boss Alex Arnout team up with Fuse London & Ibiza Resident Seb Zito for an immersive EP entitled ‘You Better Run’, featuring a driving remix from Samu.I.
Alex Arnout boasts over 20 years DJ experience and has released on Fuse, One Records, Arthrob and Hot Waves – reaching Pete Tong’s essential Selection in the early 2000’s. The UK producer also heads up Dogmatik records, which, since its inception in 2007, has released music from the likes of Maya Jane Coles, Glimpse, and Peace Division: further confirming Arnout's revered status. Meanwhile, Seb Zito’s intelligent understanding of the dance floor has seen him release on Fuse and Kaoz Theory, among others.
‘You Better Run’ kicks off in typical Dogmatik fashion with piercing drums steeped in groove before serene synth chords give way to illusive vocals and a brooding bass line. Next up, ‘V Day’ meanders through jittering rhythms and spacious atmospherics until Seb Zito steps up, this time on his own, to transform ‘V Day’ into a break-beat inspired number, glued together by crunching kick drums and fizzing hi-hats.
Finishing off affairs is fellow One Records and Infuse artist Samu.I: returning to Dogmatik with his remix of ‘You Better Run’, providing a commanding rendition whose energy levels show no sign of dipping throughout.
The ‘You Better Run’ EP drops the 21st November and features a remix from Samu.I
