Sydney producer POOLCLVB drops his highly anticipated ‘You + Me EP’ – a buoyant, swirling ode to new found love and romance.
Just in time for summer, POOLCLVB creates a bouncy, light-filled EP brimming with punchy synths and playful melodies and samples. The club ready tracks are paired with rich, tonal vocals from the likes of Carl Fox (one-half of Porches) on ‘Always’ & ‘Waiting For You’, as well as Erin Marshall on ‘What You Want’. The four-track journey follows the ebbs & flows of a blossoming relationship.
“You + Me EP is in essence a story of boy meets girl, the relationship that follows and an expression of emotion that can sometimes be unspoken. I’ve created two characters here, somewhat based on real events and people in my life. This EP gives a voice to those to express how they truly feel, whether it be positive or negative.” – POOLCLVB
With the objective of expression in mind, POOLCLVB allows for tracks beyond the euphoria of love, giving the EP a raw and honest quality. ‘Waiting For You’ explores the gentle yearning of a jilted lover, with warping synths and high hats that give the track a seductive, dance atmosphere.
‘You + Me’ is a generous EP that dips and glides across genres, sounds and emotions, resulting in a dance-pop EP that can move bodies and hearts.
‘You + Me EP' is available everywhere now through etcetc music.
