Zinc recently unveiled the innovative, mind-bending video for ‘Show Me’ and hot on its heels comes the first of the flouro-tinged house anthems remixes. Reworked by recent chart-toppers Sigma who have put their stamp on monster hits by Route 94 and Kiesza, the drum and bass duo take on a godfather of the scene and the results are explosive. Steeped in Zinc’s roots, the ante is upped and the vocals diced and warped into a thrilling concoction.
‘Show Me’ is released on Rinse / Virgin EMI 21st July and backed by further remixes by KiNK, A. G. Cook, Cause & Affect and Calibre so expect to hear them as a staple of the summer.
For several years now Zinc’s been melding house’s effortless warmth and groove to the snarling sub-loaded basslines that have long been central to his own innovative takes on UK dance music. He has in the process been hugely influential on the bass-infused house sound that has now become a dominant force on dance-floors and in the charts worldwide. ‘Show Me’ draws together both of those characteristics into a vocal track equally suited to packed peak-time club floors and outdoor festival fields.
