Various Artists - Zulu Anthems 2017

Reflecting on a hectic release schedule in 2016, it was only fitting for Zulu Records to start the year with a mammoth compilation album. ‘Anthems 2017’ features five new and exclusive tracks, as well as some of their biggest 2016 releases and some old favourites thrown in for good measure. What better way to summarise Zulu’s 2016, than to release 33 different tracks to get your ears around? For those of you who are tired of mixing after a long year, they’ve even thrown in 2 exclusive mixes to get your blood pumping.

Renowned for their ability to find some of the best underground house music around, Zulu aren’t afraid to delve into sub genres of bass, electro and beyond. ‘Anthems 2017’ features a flourish of some of the biggest names in house, deep house and all things bass, as well as introducing some brand new hidden talents to look out for in the future. One to listen up for is Cult 45, side-project of My Digital Enemy, they deliver hard-hitting house music with a big point to prove…

Label founders My Digital Enemy join the likes of Doorly, Patrick Hagenaar, Zero B, Marc Vedo, Son of 8, K-Klass and Deep Matter. House legends Jonathan Ulysses, Reza, Matt Moore, DJ Blackstone and loads more are also on this stellar line-up.

‘Anthems 2017’ features dozens of top 100 Beatport releases, as well as My Digital Enemy and Plastik Funk’s collab “Y I Left U,” which reached #6 in the Beatport House charts. No matter what the time of year is, Zulu have you covered – Amsterdam, Miami and Ibiza compilation album tracks are included, making this one suitable for all occasions.

Starting 2017 as they mean to go on, Zulu don’t hold back with this onslaught of releases. ‘Anthems’ is an understatement.
