ZUSO – ‘U R LUVD’
Australian producer ZUSO returns with his latest single ‘U R LUVD’, a deeply reflective lo-fi track built around uncertainty, intimacy and a simple reminder that you are never alone.
Written towards the end of last year, ‘U R LUVD’ captures a quieter, more introspective side of ZUSO’s production. The track was inspired by EMBRZ’s ‘Left Ya a Voicenote’, particularly its use of a voicemail sample to create a sense of intimacy and connection.
For ZUSO, the idea was to explore that same feeling in his own way, eventually finding a voicemail that perfectly matched the mood of the track while reinforcing its central message.
“U R LUVD” was written towards the end of last year and is a deep, reflective lo-fi song that tries to capture feelings of uncertainty, while also serving as a reminder that no matter what’s going on in life, you are still loved.
It was heavily inspired by EMBRZ’s song “Left Ya a Voicenote..”, which is where the original idea came from. I loved the way he used a voicemail sample to create such an intimate and personal feeling, and I wanted to explore something similar in my own way.
I ended up finding a voicemail that matched the mood of the song perfectly, while also conveying the positive message I wanted the track to leave with people. At its core, it’s a pretty simple message – whatever you might be going through, U R LUVD.”
With its lo-fi textures, understated production and personal vocal sample, ‘U R LUVD’ feels like a small moment of reassurance — a reminder to hold onto the fact that, whatever life might be throwing your way, you are still loved.
