ON THE 5TH DAY
After the successful launch of new London club The Qube Project, On the 5th Day is a new weekly residency to be held there every Friday, launching on the 7th of November 2014.
Designed to inspire, educate and make Mondays more bearable.
On the 5th day is a brave, unique and exciting new series of events, with a twist. In addition to its weekly club night residency they will be holding music seminars covering all aspects of the underground music scene taking place on selective Fridays at the club, prior to the events to educate, encourage and inspire.
The night’s themselves will be focussing on a darker, more underground, more sophisticated sound in reach of melodic techno and underground deep / tech house. Being very selective with the artists to ensure consistency of both vibe and sound. Striving for quality to appease the most picky of ears and with enhanced visuals, projections and 3d mapping, the journey is one of difference. You can be safe in the knowledge that if you enjoy one, you will enjoy them all.
Its European line up of artists such as Diynamic’s Karmon, Sincopat act AFFKT, Rampa from Keinemusik and Poker Flat’s Kyodai, Gabriel Ananda of Basmati, Los Suruba of Get Physical, Matthias Meyer of Watergate, Ramon Tapia of Bedrock Records, NTFO and many more will all lead the way in delivering an experience of distinction.
On the 5th Day’s mission is a simple one: to educate and inspire the right people through music. Choosing the business model of better keeping the loyal followers happy then finding new ones each time. Striving to build a bond with them, to share the experiences, in order that they inspire and teach each other. For this reason, in addition to providing a weekly clubbing experience like no other, they are organising music seminars every few weeks to be held in the venue prior to the event.
This is a completely new concept to the UK. These presentations are aimed at aspiring DJ’s and Producers and will feature content delivered by the headlining artists themselves. With additional input from industry professionals such as management artists, booking agents and record labels. Along with participation from Pioneer and Ableton.
This event will provide its followers with the consistency in quality of sound, vibe and the clubbing experience that they crave whilst the seminars will provide a unique opportunity for aspiring DJ’s and music producers to learn more about the artists, to understand what it actually takes to make music and to carve out a career in the industry. Igniting your creativity and providing you with networking opportunities like no other whilst delivering to the ultimate in a european underground experience.

Workshops & Seminars
On the 5th Day is not just an event – we strive to educate our crowd through knowledge and providing an interactive learning experience.
Because of this we shall be hosting regular music workshops and seminars, something yet to be brought to the UK scene. Hosted in the main room of the club, from 8pm – 11pm prior to our event, you will also benefit from guaranteed early entry into the party.
With participation from the likes of Pioneer and Ableton, well known DJ’s and producers, record labels and agents alike. AFFKT
AFFKT is a DJ and Producer performing all around the world. In addition to his renowned live DJ sets he is producing and remixing for labels such as Get Physical, Bedrock, Noir music, Sincopat, Suara, Rekids, Buzzin Fly, Mobilee, Cécille, Vakant, Mothership, Rebirth, OFF, International Freakshow, Perspectiv or Skint and for artists such as tech de Mathias Kaden, Radio Slave, Remute, Spencer Parker, or Noisia to just name a few.
AFFKT is also the mastermind behind the Sincopat label. A label created to deepen and transcend the boundaries of dance music with a solid crew of kindred spirits. Sincopat believes in an emerging generation of eclectic artists – children of the thousand sounds – that do not fear the risk of exploring.
This multifaceted artist will discuss with you his experiences as a DJ and Producer in addition to sharing his wealth of knowledge about how he set up and subsequently expanded his record label.

With the Amsterdam nightlife witnessing a highly acclaimed reputation, We Are E has risen as one of its main tastemakers. Sought-after DJs and producers as well as regular events brought the agency to a reputable position in the Dutch capital’s house and techno scene. We Are E managed to renew and evolve their sound while maintaining their strong, rooted values. They manage numerous artists, including: AFFKT, WIIkats, Los Suruba, Edu Imbernon and many more. They will share precious insights regarding the management of artists, what it involves and the benefits of having good management as an artist.

Based in Berlin, Kyodai is a dynamic duo of both DJ and production fame who regularly release for labels like Compost, Odori, Om, Lovemonk. These two brothers have achieved worldwide recognition under a variety of different aliases and have gained respect from musical heavyweights like Laurent Garnier, Masters At Work, Gilles Peterson, Danny Krivit, Rainer Trüby and Jimpster.
Kyodai will discuss their experiences as DJs and producers, concentrating on their unique live performance style and giving you an insight to the journey they have paved: right from the inception to their success of today.
INDUSTRY EXPERT – LEGAL MATTERS
We place before you an industry expert to share priceless knowledge on the legal matters surrounding licensing, sampling and the benefits and pitfalls of music production. Providing you with much needed information and guidance through the whole process and your obligations and rights as a producer from a legal perspective.

RAMON TAPIA
Ramon Tapia is a DJ and Producer who found fame in the late 2000s on labels like Herzblut, Craft and Yellow Tail, forging a new school techno sound that blended the slower, sexier sounds of the contemporary vibe with his schooling in the genre from the past few decades. The cream of Holland’s techno scene soon followed suit, with his worked snapped up by 2000 And One’s Remote Area and 100% Pure, Shinedoe’s Intacto and Secret Cinema’s Gem Records and further afield by Germany’s Great Stuff and Tiga’s Turbo. Remixes for Paul Weller, Armand van Helden, Nic Fanciulli, Marc Romboy, Monika Kruse, Mauro Picotto, DJ Sneak and Umek and many others soon followed. Eventually in 2012 he set up his own labels: Say What? Recordings and the Hermanez-collaboration label Aella Musict o proliferate his sound further.
Ramon Tapia will tell you all about the specifics of DJing, as this experienced artist has a huge amount of knowledge and skill to share. His journey has been one of hard work and adventure and that is a must for any aspiring DJs who wish to catapult to success for the right reasons.
