Kreature - Access EP

Resonance Records return this March with a six track EP titled ‘Access’ featuring remixes from Mark Jenkyns and George Smeddles

Fresh from a string of recent releases, Max Chapman’s Resonance Records have been on fine form as of late, release tracks and remixes from a series of influential house and techno names such as Solardo, wAFF, Richy Ahmed, Detlef and Darius Syrossian. Resonance Records next release comes from rising Manchester talent and VIVa signee Kreature, who has been pushing his distinctive sound across Europe, with gigs ranging from Ibiza’s Sankeys to London’s Fire.

A crafty groove and bassline kick start proceedings in ‘Access’, met with spiralling elements and towering breakdowns. ‘This Way’ then goes deeper with a raw 808 style percussive workout fuelled by a rumbling bass and glistening synths, before Mark Jenkyns laces in tribal drums and echoing effects to create a hypnotic and jacking reinterpretation.

Resonance Records co-owner George Smeddles then continues the remix duties, crafting the original into a more subdued yet ardent cut with a smooth low end and swirling synths. Low kicks and jittery hats drive ‘Stop The Rhythm’ mercilessly, before its resonant acid licks and twisted vocal samples take hold. Mesmerising synth lines then build in the closing cut ‘Become One’, only to be stripped back by booming percussion and meandering vocals to create a floor focused number.

Kreature ‘Access’ EP drops on Resonance Records on 27th March 2017.
