AmyElle & Tom Ashbrook connect on new single ‘Tom Tune’

Scottish DJ and producer AmyElle links up with neoclassical composer Tom Ashbrook on new single ‘Tom Tune’, out 30th September on Another Rhythm.

Combining the most delicate of piano chords with shimmering arpeggios and a deep, brooding bassline, ‘Tom Tune’ is an ethereal electronic creation that leaves a lasting impression. It follows AmyElle’s hit single ‘Let Me In’ with London singer-songwriter Shania, a track that has already amassed 1 million Spotify streams.

Hotly tipped by BBC Radio 1, Mixmag, DJ Mag, Spotify (as the first DJ and female DJ to do their new DJ Mixes) and more, 2021 was a massive breakout for AmyElle. The Dundee artist dropped a string of hit singles, such as ‘Feel The Heat’, ‘Animal Kingdom’ and ‘Push It’. This year has seen her continue to build on this with shows across some of the globe’s biggest venues and continued support from top tastemakers.

Touring this year has seen the Dundee artist only excel in the industry, with a very busy summer across some of the most prestigious venues and festivals globally. Starting off the year with a debut ‘all night long’ set in London’s flagship home of dance music, Fabric, while going on to play Printworks, Radio 1’s Big Weekend, shows in the USA including Splash House Palm Springs, Hideout Festival, Tomorrowland, Secret Garden Party and 3 X shows at Amnesia, Ibiza amongst many more. While across radio support, Amy has sealed approval from tastemakers across the board from Pete Tong, Danny Howard, Jaguar Worldwide and Sarah Story on BBC Radio 1.

Amassing over 20 million streams globally, Tom Ashbrook is a neoclassical composer based in Liverpool who has released two acclaimed albums, Sensibus (2020) and Solitude (2021), as well as spending most of his adult life touring as a musician. He has seen great success across his expansive work, including recent collaborations with Peter Sandberg, Kiasmos, Alexis Ffrench, Robot Koch, as well as support from BBC 6 Music, Mixmag, Pete Townsend, Clash Magazine and Music Week.

An inspired collaboration, ‘Tom Tune’ represents the beginning of an exciting creative partnership between these two young talents.
