Andy Replica’s “Bizza” introduces a distinct, dreamlike sound that leans into atmosphere and texture. The single offers a first glimpse into an upcoming EP, hinting at a wider body of work built with a similarly open, exploratory mindset.
Drifting somewhere between indie dance, shoegaze and leftfield electronics, “Bizza” carries a faded, sun-bleached quality. It feels ephemeral and reflective, with dust in the textures and space around the sounds. Guitars and basslines blur at the edges, softening into something more atmospheric than functional, while a loose rhythmic backbone keeps it within reach of more open-minded dancefloors.
The track began with a bassline sent over by one of the artist’s oldest collaborators, someone tied to earlier musical history and shared experience. From that starting point, Andy Replica reshaped the material into something more abstract and intuitive, building a track that feels assembled from memory as much as intention.
This approach runs through the wider project. Andy Replica draws on fragments from friends and family, folding them into pieces that feel human, unpolished and slightly skewed. It is a space built on instinct and curiosity, with the process left deliberately open.
The project itself took shape following a remix of “erthshkr” for BNDT. What began as a one-off gradually opened into a broader body of work, with Andy Replica finishing a set of original tracks and, for the first time, taking on the mixing process directly.
The visual language follows a similar thread. Artwork built from photos of those involved is reworked in a quick, instinct-led way, favouring feeling over precision and keeping everything close to its source.
