Tough Love return with the dark and catchy ‘Animal’, the second new release from their ‘Past Present Future’ album project, released on 5 May 2017 on Get Twisted Records.
‘Animal’ is a deep and sultry bass-infused vocal house cut that demonstrates Tough Love’s impressive ability to fuse garage and RnB influences with house to create sounds that were made for peak-time dance floors.
To break the mould, Tough Love are releasing their eagerly awaited debut album ‘Past Present Future’ in three parts across spring and summer 2017. Part 1 (Past) was released in late March; Part 2 (Present) will be released in June; and Part 3 (Future) in September. To celebrate the album, Tough Love are releasing a new single every 4 weeks.
Past Present Future Part 1 featured four of Tough Love’s biggest releases to date: The Top 40 hits ‘So Freakin’ Tight’ and ‘Pony’, plus ‘Touch’ and ‘Like I Can’. Part 2 will include their previous single, ‘Like A Drug’, along with ‘Animal’ and two forthcoming singles. Part 3 will include 4 completely new, unreleased tracks.
After making some serious noise in 2016 in which Tough Love celebrated their 5th anniversary and released two singles, ‘Touch’ and ‘Like I Can’, both of which picked up specialist and day time support. Tough Love consistently showed their appetite for club records releasing ‘DLNW’, ‘Friday Night’ and closed out the year with the huge collaboration with Roger Sanchez and Boy George, ‘Hold On’.
Tough Love’s sound is as in demand as ever, as shown in the remix credits they have for the past 12 months alone, including remixes for Jamiroquai, Craig David, Jess Glynne, Chase & Status, Sigala and Todd Terry.
With millions of listeners all over the world tuning into their radio shows on Kiss FM and Get Twisted Radio, it’s easy to see why Tough Love remain so well loved and respected.
Since its inception 2012, Tough Love’s record label, Get Twisted Records, has gone from strength to strength, signing an imprint deal with Columbia Records in 2015 and featuring releases from both established names and rising talent including Roger Sanchez, Todd Terry, Sandy Riviera, Amine Edge & DANCE, Man Without A Clue, Purple Disco Machine, Full Crate, No Artificial Colours, Hannah Wants, LiTek, Leon Lour & Felon, and Get Twisted Records continues to grow in stature, with four sell-out London shows in 2016 showing the power the label currently commands in the UK.
