Italian duo Neverdogs are two decades strong into their tenure within the global underground dance music scene. Renowned for their extended feel-good and uplifting sets, full of sensual tones, sultry atmospheres and upbeat House & Techno, Bamboleo Records frontmen Tommy Paone & Marco De Gregorio continue to set a precedent for cutting-edge avant-garde dance cuts.
Their latest release is a standout remix of Maria Angeli’s ‘Piece Of My Heart’. First released in 2016, it has had some impressive remixes since. The latest rendition of the track sees Tommy & Marco weave a minimalist style cadence into Maria’s breathtaking vocal topline.
The track breaks away from the usual Neverdogs style, focusing on a more artistic and unconventional approach to production. Deepened drum work and creative percussive constructions build a core of pulsating rhythm whilst a sea of melodic elements bleed in and out of the mix, bringing dreamy textures and emotive atmospherics from beginning to end.
Much like a well-written novel, the record has recognisable scenes and variations, highlighting the depth in ability that Tommy & Marco possess beyond conventionally-structured dance music.
