Brass Knuckles & The Cataracs – Crack
Already riding a wave of success in 2014 thanks to their much celebrated remixes for the likes of Nervo and Galantis, Miami-based electro trio – Brass Knuckles – is back at it once again to further add to their ever-burgeoning arsenal of music. This time around, they have teamed up with the illustrious Niles Hollowell – AKA, The Cataracs – to create what is set to be one of the hits of the summer. Introducing ‘CRACK’, out now exclusively on Beatport via Ultra Music.
Having released a 90 second teaser for the track last month, listeners may have thought they knew what they were getting themselves in for with ‘CRACK’, but the end product has resulted in even more twists and turns throughout than even the most ardent of fans could have predicted.
Starting things off with some high-octane snare drums, ‘CRACK’ then progressively builds with intensity like a ticking time bomb, before exploding into a hard-hitting, frenzied and bass-filled monster. With punchy, high-pitched synths humming alongside The Cataracs immaculate verses, it undoubtedly sets the bar high for what is set to come from the group for the rest of the year.
With productions in the pipeline, fans of Brass Knuckles won’t have too long to wait as multiple releases are scheduled to come out on Ultra Music over the coming months. Combine that thought with an upcoming tour of Asia that begins in early June and you’ve got the makings of what will surely be a pretty special few months for the trio.
