My Secret Playground releases new End Of Noise EP

Berlin-based Austrian producer My Secret Playground returns with End Of Noise, a four-track EP drawing together melancholic synth music, Indie Dance, 80s electronics and Florian Herzberg’s longstanding influences from rock and metal.

Originally from Vienna and based in Berlin for more than a decade, Herzberg has developed a sound shaped by both cities: romantic and nostalgic in places, tougher and more immediate in others, with broad synths, vocoders and vocal lines meeting pounding drums, distorted textures and arrangements that push beyond conventional dancefloor structures.

End Of Noise takes that sound into more personal territory. Written during a period of considerable change, the EP reflects on loss, new beginnings, euphoria, vulnerability and confronting old patterns. Its four tracks were conceived as parts of the same story, moving between dreamy, melancholic passages and heavier moments while bringing 80s electronics into contact with rock and metal influences and hybrid drums.

That period has coincided with a wider shift for Herzberg. Since choosing sobriety in 2024, he has opened Studio 154, his own Berlin studio and rehearsal space, building on an approach to electronic and live music that stretches back to his My Secret Session project, which has involved more than 130 musicians since launching in 2014.

With recent releases on Melopee, Jeahmon!, Sincopat and Ton Liebt Klang, End Of Noise captures My Secret Playground at a point of transition, looking back at what has shaped the project while beginning to move beyond it.
