Unveiling his groove-fuelled new track ‘C’Mon Baby’, enigmatic producer The Psalm delivers his deep bass-backed anthem via esteemed producer Riton’s ‘Riton Time’ label.
The pumping synth-wave track, led by echoing distorted vocals and high energy percussion, is pulled together by a funky old school melody, verging between the realms of brooding afterhours mixes, and primetime deep house anthems.
Having first encountered Riton via a chance moment in Paris, when the ‘Rinse & Repeat’ producer heard an anonymous mix created by The Psalm being played in the background of a friend’s apartment, Henry (Riton) eventually managed to track The Psalm down and via a barrage of phone calls, messages and a train ticket to London, the pair agreed to bring the track into the public eye.
A firm believer in The Psalm’s talent and superbly crafted production skills, Riton is best known for his chart-topping smash ‘Rinse & Repeat’ which was nominated for a coveted Grammy nomination for Best Dance Record, with the label head honcho enjoying a hectic touring schedule in 2017, performing at V Festival, Creamfields, SW4, Radio 1 in Ibiza, and London’s Electric Brixton.
‘C’Mon Baby’ serves as an aural embodiment of the secretive new producer The Psalm, and is set for release on 26th January.
