Couros Releases New Single ‘Untitled21’, Out Now via bitbird
Emerging talent Couros is back with his first original release since his 2018 EP, ‘Young’. After spending the last couple of years mastering his soulful, melodic sound, the London-based producer makes his bitbird debut with his newest single, ‘Untitled21,’ ahead of the fourth installment of the label’s Gouldian Finch compilation series. Couros’ latest offering follows a slew of remixes including his recent remix for Godford’s ‘Downtown’. “I wanted to make something that didn’t feel as connected and was more of a no-minded approach to making a song,” he says about ‘Untitled21’ “I went off instinct for a whole day, added a vocal from a song I just wrote, cut it up and kept it fast and didn’t obsess. Probably the fastest from idea-to-master I’ve done yet and while there’s always that voice in my head telling me its not good enough, I’m really into leaving all the human mistakes/touches in because I guess thats what makes it my song.”

The London-based producer has made a name for himself in the world of downtempo house and left-field pop music. Utilizing his multi-instrumental talent behind the scenes for established stars and newcomers alike, Couros found himself in the studio with Rihanna’s producer, Parker Ighile, to contribute guitars in a recording session. Taking his masterful skill to the next level, the talent self-released his first singles as Couros in 2015 and 2016, gaining him a label debut with the Island-affiliated PMR Records to release his four-track EP, ‘Jupiter’, and his second EP, ‘Young’ in 2018. Making his return with his first release via bitbird, Couros continues to make a mark as an artist to remember.
